The recent feature published by El Mercantil shines a spotlight on the dynamic work taking place inside the Logistics 4.0 Incubator, an initiative led by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB) to foster technological innovation and sustainability across Spain’s logistics ecosystem. As the article outlines, the incubator has quickly become a strategic hub where robotics, AI, automation, IoT and data-driven models converge to solve operational challenges and shape the future of supply chains.

For CIRQUEL, being part of this ecosystem represents an important step in our mission to make reverse logistics more intelligent, circular and sustainable. Through access to expert mentors, corporate partners, knowledge exchanges and hands-on testing environments, we’ve been able to refine how our AI-powered anomaly detection, quality forecasting and circular routing support not only fashion brands but also adjacent sectors such as accessories, homeware and home décor. The collaborative environment has allowed us to validate ideas faster, engage with logistics operators and understand the scalability needs of large brands and warehouses.

In her interview with El Mercantil, our co-founder Anna Warchalowska shared CIRQUEL’s perspective on the changing role of reverse logistics and the value of the incubator. Below are her quotes in both their original Spanish and English translation:

«Ser parte de la Logistics 4.0 Incubator nos está permitiendo validar, ajustar y escalar nuestro enfoque de logística inversa basada en IA con la ayuda directa de expertos del sector y otros proyectos innovadores.»“Being part of the Logistics 4.0 Incubator allows us to validate, refine and scale our AI-driven approach to reverse logistics with direct input from industry experts and fellow innovators.”

And on how the incubator supports CIRQUEL’s mission:

«Este entorno nos ayuda a acelerar nuestra visión de circularidad, conectándonos con actores clave y creando un espacio donde podemos probar nuestra tecnología en condiciones reales.»“This environment helps us accelerate our circularity vision, connecting us with key stakeholders and giving us a space to test our technology in real operating conditions.”

The article also highlights how the incubator fosters a space where collaboration, experimentation and shared problem-solving become the foundation for future-ready logistics models. For CIRQUEL, this has been invaluable — not only for technological development, but also for strengthening our ecosystem, expanding our network and shaping a solution that is aligned with industry needs and upcoming regulatory requirements around circularity, transparency and textile waste.

We are deeply grateful to El Mercantil, CZFB and the entire Logistics 4.0 team for recognising the importance of circular logistics and for supporting startups dedicated to building the next generation of sustainable supply chains.
