CIRQUEL started with a simple idea: returns deserve intelligence. With increasing EU regulations around sustainability, extended producer responsibility (EPR), DPPs and waste reduction, brands can no longer afford inefficient, manual recovery systems. Founded in 2024 and headquartered in Barcelona and Berlin, CIRQUEL builds AI-powered infrastructure that restructures the lifecycle of returns — detecting anomalies, preventing fraud, forecasting quality, and guiding brands toward the most profitable and circular outcome.
Our journey
Our journey began with the support of Beam Venture Studio in Berlin, backed by BEUMER Group. We validated our approach through two pilots: a seven-month proof-of-concept in Madrid across fashion, sportswear, footwear, and accessories; and subsequently a six-month pilot in Barcelona within furniture and home décor vertical. These pilots confirmed that AI-driven visual intelligence can dramatically improve recovery speed, margin protection, and sustainability alignment.
Our team
CIRQUEL is built by a multicultural team combining expertise in e-commerce, fashion, resale platforms, sustainability research, circular innovation, community development, and enterprise AI software engineering. Founded by two female entrepreneurs rooted in sustainability, fashion, leadership, and operational execution, CIRQUEL is strengthened by a highly experienced CTO with deep expertise in enterprise software architecture and AI systems. With backgrounds spanning Europe and North America, we bring complementary perspectives — business, sustainability, and deep tech — to build scalable, intelligent recovery infrastructure for modern brands.
