Early October marked an exciting chapter for CIRQUEL as our co-founder and CEO Anna Warchalowska represented the company at the HearstLab Open Europe Summit in Barcelona - an invite-only gathering celebrating visionary founders, investors, and changemakers shaping the future of European innovation. Hosted at Juno House, the summit was organised by HearstLab, the venture arm of Hearst Publications, in collaboration with Unlock VC, Fund F, Impact Shakers, Fitch Ratings Spain, and ELLE Spain.

The event centred on how Europe can lead the next wave of entrepreneurship through sustainability, inclusivity, and forward-thinking regulation. Panels such as “Europe’s Competitive Edge: Leveraging Regulation, Sustainability & DEI for Global Leadership”, “Funding the Future: Europe’s VC Revolution,” and “The Barcelona Effect: Shaping the Future of European Innovation” explored how purpose-driven ventures can thrive in a changing economy. Among the distinguished speakers were Susanne Schöneberg (Fund F), Catarina Santos (Impact Shakers), Rebecca Tibbott (Fitch Ratings), Inés Oliveira (HearstLab), Sana Al-Naimi (Bloomberg Media), Hélène Hense (Unlock VC), Alexandra Kory (Fitch Ratings), Marta Lasierra (ELLE Spain), and Niels Van Klaveren (HearstLab Europe).

As Anna noted after the event, “Barcelona continues to stand out as one of Europe’s most vibrant startup ecosystems - a place where technology, purpose, and sustainability naturally intersect.” CIRQUEL was proud to take part in this dialogue, reaffirming its role in Europe’s growing network of circular and impact-driven innovators.

In parallel with the Summit, we are delighted to share that Anna Warchalowska (as a serial founder and CEO of CIRQUEL) joined the Meaningful Business community - a global network that connects over 1,000 leaders across 100 countries who are aligning business growth with social and environmental impact. Supported by partners including EY, the UN Global Compact, and Natura & Co, the initiative bridges entrepreneurship, academia, and investment to accelerate progress toward the UN Sustainable Development Goals. For CIRQUEL, joining this network represents another step in integrating reverse logistics and AI-powered circular models into a broader framework of responsible innovation and global collaboration.

October also brought industry recognition: CIRQUEL was named by F6S, Europe’s largest startup community, as one of Spain’s Top FashionTech Companies. This acknowledgment highlights our team’s pioneering work in AI-driven logistics, computer vision, anomaly detection, and quality forecasting technology - tools that help fashion and lifestyle brands recover value from returns, samples, and overstock while reducing waste.

Together, these milestones reflect CIRQUEL’s mission to bridge technology, sustainability, and entrepreneurship - turning innovation into measurable impact. From the stage of Barcelona’s HearstLab Summit to global purpose-driven networks like Meaningful Business, and now to recognition by F6S, CIRQUEL continues to push forward the vision of a circular, intelligent, and resilient fashion economy.
